Meet Jeska – empowering careers as our Workforce Solutions Manager

Meet Jeska, our new Workforce Solutions Manager, a dynamic professional dedicated to bridging the gap between students and industry employers. With a deep passion for helping others and a keen focus on workforce development, Jeska is committed to enhancing student outcomes while ensuring employers have access to a pipeline of skilled and motivated employees.

As a Workforce Solutions Manager, Jeska’s mission is to provide end-to-end support, fostering lasting partnerships and ensuring that both students and employers benefit from a seamless experience. Her journey into this career was driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact.

"Early in my career, I realised that I was drawn to roles where I could be creative, solutions-focused and serve as a bridge to others. The ability to make these connections in a way that empowers people and drives positive change is what drew me to this role. In particular, the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) industry holds a special place because of its direct impact on children and families. It’s a field that requires a strong commitment to nurturing growth, not just in the children but also in the educators who shape their development. "

What sets Jeska apart in her role is her focus on collaboration and providing industry-specific solutions beyond just training delivery. By understanding the unique needs of both students and employers, she fosters an ecosystem where everyone benefits. This personalised approach ensures that students are well-prepared to embark on fulfilling careers and that employers can access a workforce that aligns with their industry needs.

Jeska's passion for helping students connect with meaningful employment opportunities is evident.

"It’s not just about getting a job," she explains. "It’s about setting students up for a fulfilling career where they can truly thrive, grow, and make a difference in the world."

One standout experience Jeska recalls involved a student who entered the ECEC industry with a passion for working with children from diverse backgrounds. By implementing inclusive teaching strategies, this student created a nurturing environment that celebrated diversity, ultimately helping the children in their care to flourish. This experience demonstrated the power of ECEC to advocate for social equity and inclusion.

Supporting Student Success

For prospective students considering a career in Early Childhood Education, Jeska highlights the numerous paths the industry offers. From early education and special education educators to childcare administrators and training assessors, the possibilities are vast.

"The field is diverse," she says. "There are many opportunities to specialise and make a significant impact on children’s lives."

Jeska’s commitment to student success is evident in her approach to overcoming barriers. She stays connected with industry trends and provides individualised support to help students overcome challenges—whether they relate to confidence, skills gaps, or personal hurdles. This ensures that students graduate with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the workforce.

For anyone considering a career in ECEC, Jeska offers some valuable advice:

"Research the requirements for the sector, consider your specialisation, gain hands-on experience during your placement, and embrace lifelong learning. ECEC is a field where you can continue to grow throughout your career."

Jeska's passion for workforce development, her commitment to student success, and her personalised approach make her an invaluable addition to Foundation Education. She is excited to continue making a lasting impact on students, employers, and the ECEC industry as a whole.
