Mirza Tallal Ahmed, Foundation Education Graduate

Tell us a bit about yourself.

My name is Mirza Tallal Ahmed. I am from Pakistan, and I am 29 years old.

I came to Australia last year. I like to play and watch soccer, and I have a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (Honours). Ever since I lived here, I always wanted to have an Australian education.

What course did you study? What was your favourite subject/part?

I studied Diploma of Practice Management, and currently, I am studying Dental Assisting with Foundation Education. My favourite subjects were working with diverse people and implementing and monitoring infection prevention and control policies and procedures because, in this subject, I had to perform tasks that were more fun.

What made you decide to pursue a new career?

I have a background in management, and I have worked in the administration field. For my study in Australia, I wanted to pursue a pathway in management, specifically in the medical sector, because I never had the chance to manage things that are related to medical, which is why I chose to study Diploma of Practice Management with Foundation Education.

Why did you choose to study with Foundation Education?

Before admitting to Foundation Education, I searched a lot about the courses and reviews. Based on the positivity of people for Foundation Education, I felt like this is the institute I want to study at.  

What are your plans for the future?

I plan to manage the health practice and take part in dental assisting because I find it very interesting and challenging. I want to have my medical practice in future as well. 

What would you say to people who are considering studying online?

I would say to people who want to study online that you need to prioritise your work but give time to yourself as well, go out, enjoy and have fun. In the beginning, it was very challenging to focus on my studies. I always tried to study daily, even for 20 mins. If I don’t find the topic interesting, I either choose another unit or start watching something on YouTube to ease my mind. This is the only way I have completed a 12-month course in approximately 7 months.
