Meet Faith, our passionate Trainer and Assessor for Early Childhood Education

Early Childhood Education

With over 30 years of industry experience and 13 years as a Trainer and Assessor, Faith’s journey in the ECEC field has been shaped by her deep commitment to fostering growth in both children and aspiring educators.

Before transitioning to teaching, Faith worked in various Early Childhood Education services, where she developed invaluable hands-on experience. It was there that she discovered just how fulfilling it is to watch children grow and develop, a realization that solidified her commitment to ECEC.

"What I loved most was watching the children in my care grow and develop with smiles on their faces."

Beyond her passion for educating children, Faith found deep fulfilment in collaborating with her incredible colleagues, fostering a supportive and inspiring learning environment together.

Discovering a lifelong passion for ECEC

Faith’s passion for working with children began early in life. As the eldest of her cousins, she was often called upon to babysit. It was through these experiences that she saw firsthand how engaging children in creative play sparked their wonder and joy.

“One of the most rewarding experiences was watching children grow and thrive through activities they had never experienced before, like Indigenous art. The delight and growth they showed was incredibly gratifying.”

Wanting to have an even bigger impact, Faith made the leap into teaching. Becoming a Trainer and Assessor gave her the chance to share her knowledge and experience with the next generation of educators. She felt that after achieving her own career goals, it was time to help others pursue theirs.

“The practical knowledge I gained throughout my journey provides students with an extensive library of resources to support their growth as innovative educators.”

Faith knows that everyone’s learning journey is different, especially in ECEC. That’s why she believes in adapting to each student’s individual learning style to help them unlock their full potential. With so many career paths in the ECEC field, from educators to directors, Faith encourages students to find their own path and supports them along the way.

“The most rewarding aspect of my role is supporting my students in completing their learning journeys and professional goals.”

For anyone thinking about a career in ECEC, Faith’s advice is straightforward:

“Do it! You won’t regret the pride and fulfilment that come with making a difference in children’s lives.”
